General Practitioner Registrar and Students

Our practice is a training and teaching practice, supporting both GP registrars and medical students as part of their professional development.

GP Registrars

Our registrars are fully qualified doctors with valuable hospital experience. They join our practice for their GP training and will become fully qualified GPs upon completion.

• Registrars work under the supervision of our senior GPs, who are GP trainers.
• When booking an appointment, you may be asked if you are happy to see one of our registrars.

Medical Students

We also welcome medical students to the practice. With your consent, a student may sit in with the GP during your consultation to learn about general practice.

Your care and confidentiality are always our priority, and you are free to decline participation in teaching at any time without affecting your care.

Practice Management

The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the Practice, such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology.

The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Office Management

Our office management over see the smooth running of our patient support team and all the admin duties they perform.

Practice Manager’s Assistant / HR Manager

The practice manager’s assistant / Hr Manager supports the practice manager and wider practice in all areas. 

Practice Nurses

The practice nurses are available by appointment for:

• Diabetes management and education
• Heart and circulation reviews (where appropriate)
• Childhood immunisations
• Seasonal flu vaccines
• Travel vaccinations (please check availability)
• Cervical screening (smear tests)
• Contraceptive injections and pill checks
• General sexual health advice
• Asthma and COPD reviews, including inhaler technique
• Wound care and dressings
• Removal of stitches and clips

The Healthcare Assistant are available by appointment for :-

• Taking blood samples (phlebotomy)
• Blood pressure readings BP monitor fittings
• Diabetic foot checks
• Performing Electrocardiograms (ECGs)
• NHS Health Checks (for eligible patients)
• New patient health checks
• Seasonal flu, Shingles and pneumonia vaccines
• B12 vaccines
• Weight
• Statin chats
